Bio:
John McFillin separated from the Navy in April 2023 after 11 years of service. Prior to enlisting, he earned an accounting degree from Temple University and worked as an accountant in Philadelphia but left the profession in search of greater purpose. The Navy provided that sense of meaning, but over time, his growing family—his wife and four children—became his top priority, prompting his transition out of the military. After leaving, John began searching for a new mission and found it through a personal connection: his younger brother, who is autistic and now facing health issues due to limited access to resources. While supporting his parents in navigating available services, John realized that although support exists, it is often disorganized and hard to locate. This insight inspired him to create an app that streamlines access to essential resources for individuals with special needs. His goal is to reduce the burden on caregivers and encourage healthier, more active lifestyles within the special needs community. John is passionate about the app’s potential to make a meaningful and lasting difference.
